Admissions

Joining the academy

A simple path for sisters: send a short enquiry, recite briefly to a teacher, and begin at the right level.

Who can apply?
The academy primarily serves adult sisters, from complete beginners to those preparing for Ijāzah.
Initial recitation assessment
A short, relaxed session in which you recite briefly to a teacher, so that we understand your current level.
How placement works
Based on your assessment and goals, we recommend a programme and starting point suited to you.
Online learning requirements
A stable internet connection, a device with a microphone, a quiet space and a printed Muṣḥaf.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know Arabic?

No. You need to be able to recognise the Arabic letters for most programmes; foundation classes start from there.

Are classes one-to-one?

Recitation is heard and corrected individually. Formats for each programme will be confirmed on enrolment.

Is an Ijāzah guaranteed?

No. An Ijāzah is awarded solely at the teacher's discretion, after complete and precise recitation.

What about younger learners?

Enquiries about younger learners are handled separately by the academy, with appropriate safeguarding and guardian consent. Please use the contact page.
